I don't mean to make it sound like every engineer is being paid that much. I started at $110k and was promoted to mid-level engineer a year later. My salary was practically standard for my level in the Bay Area, so I don't think that says much about Medium and how they pay writers.

Also, I'm having trouble making the connection to how my article makes curators look like slackers. Would you mind elaborating?
