My First Shortform

Okay, they said this is the new thing, so I’m trying it.

Will this be here to stay? No one can tell.

Will this replace Twitter? That’s probably not the goal.

Will this help poets perform better on Medium? I don’t know. Maybe?

Will fiction benefit from this? Probably not materially.

There’s a lot to be worked out, but it’s worth giving it a shot.

It’d be nice if this interface told me my word count as I typed.

Anything to help me know I’m about to publish a “shortform” would be nice.
