Hey Richard K. Yu, I’ve been thinking about this feedback for the last 9 months since you published this. In that time, a thought about what writers need most from the community… The answer I came up with is this: an easy way to get all the answers they need to writing questions from other writers.
After doing more research around that and spending the last two weeks building, I am launching Writtens.com into beta this week to help writers get answers to their most pressing questions about writing regardless of what platform they use to publish. It’s like Quora but catered only to the interests of writers.
I take a lot of the learnings from the Smedian forum into account. I also keep the platform as simple as people have come to expect from a Smedian platform. You ask questions. People answer. Other people comment, and comments are streamlined as you would find on a Reddit thread (per your feedback).
